Pulley with swivel Petzl Spin L1D
Petzl Spin L1D is a high-performance, compact roller with one-way rotation and a swivel pivot joint.
The unit can be opened even when anchored, and is designed to be used in conjunction with a descender for maximum ease of adjustment of the deflection for heavy loads.
The toothed pulley rotates in one direction only, providing superior efficiency when towing and adding friction zones for the rope for additional braking when lowering.
The swivel makes it easy to manipulate, allowing the pulley to be orientated under load and direct connection of carabiners, ropes or slings.
It is designed to be used in conjunction with a lowering device for maximum simplicity when installing heavy load deflection or towing systems for working at height or rescue operations:
- The rope can be installed with the device connected to the anchor;
- The triple-action opening of the movable side plate is quick and easy, even when wearing gloves;
- A red mark provides a visual warning when the movable side plate is unlocked;
- The special design of the side plate protects the rope path and allows the use of the Prusik friction hitch in a progressive gripper system;
- The faceted pulley rotates in only one direction, providing excellent efficiency during lifting and adding friction zones for the rope for additional braking when lowering heavy loads (for more information, see the operating instructions and technical tips at www.petzl.com).
