Durapol arcs are used in TRAMP tents of the Universal and Camping series.
Durapol is a high-quality fiberglass (glass plastic) that is covered with a synthetic mesh, then a thin metal film coating and a final coating of unsaturated polymer resins that binds all layers together. In terms of strength, durability and flexibility, Durapol is superior to fiberglass, has less residual deformation and a lower specific weight.
The use of Durapol arcs in the tent frames significantly increases the useful life of the tent and makes it possible to use the tent in harsher outdoor conditions.
The advantages of the multilayer structure of Durapol over fiberglass arches:
1. Durapole has a higher resistance to bending when compared to fiberglass.
2. High strength at low and high temperatures, unlike fiberglass.
3. The coating reflects UV rays, which significantly extends the service life.
4. The smooth surface does not damage the fabric.
5. The material does not accumulate static electricity and does not attract dirt and dust.
