Carabiner Climbing Technology Axis TG grey / silver / green
Climbing Technology Axis TG grey / silver / green - a large lightweight pear-shaped aluminium carbine with automatic Triact-Lock. The colour is grey with silver and green.
It is used in mountaineering, industrial climbing and rescue operations.
The Triact-Lock locking mechanism ensures automatic locking of the carabiner and eliminates the possibility of accidental opening, and is easy to open with one hand - first lift it up, then turn it clockwise and then open it.
Asymmetrical pear-shaped (HMS) shape ensures safe sliding of the rope through the carabiner, making it optimal for use with belaying devices and sufficient width for using a Munter knot, attaching several ropes, slings or devices
The large contact surface of the carabiner with the rope ensures optimum positioning of belaying and descending devices and smooth rope sliding.
Flattened bottom surface for optimal sling placement.
The large size and increased opening width (24 mm) are sufficient for using the Munter coupling to secure multiple ropes, slings or devices.
The Triact-Lock three-stroke locking system ensures automatic locking of the carbine and eliminates the possibility of accidental opening, it is easy to open with one hand - first you need to lift it, then turn it clockwise and only then open it.
The Catch-Free (KeyLock) system prevents accidental jamming and will not catch on other elements of the equipment.
The knurled surface of the coupling provides a secure grip with fingers or gloves.
The I-beam cross-sectional design of the complex-shaped bar is made by hot forging, which reduces the weight of the carbine while maintaining its strength.
The material is a high-quality Al alloy with an anodised surface that provides resistance to corrosion, chipping and pitting.
Features of the Climbing Technology Axis TG:
- Weight, g: 84 (2.96 oz)
- Coupling type: automatic 3-stroke
- Opening width, cm: 2.3 (0.9 in)
- Destructive load, kN: 25 (2549 kg)
- Destructive transverse load, kN: 8 (816 kg)
- Breaking load with latch open, kN: 7 (714 kg)
- External dimensions (MAX length/width), cm: 12.1 x 8.2 (4.5 x 3.2 in)
- Large size and increased opening width
- Flattened bottom surface for optimal sling placement
- Knurled coupling surface provides good grip with fingers or gloves
- Catch-Free latch system makes operation easier and does not catch on equipment or glove fingertips
- H-shaped bar profile reduces the weight of the carabiner without losing strength and also protects the markings from abrasion
