Carabiner First Ascent BELAY light blue
First Ascent BELAY light blue - large and lightweight pear-shaped carbine with automatic clutch and latch for locking in a specific position. The colour is blue.
The pear shape allows you to correctly position the equipment on the carabiner, loading it strictly along the main axis.
It is mainly used for harnessing, hanging a large amount of equipment on a belay station, with descending and belaying devices, or descending with the help of a Munter's knot (UIAA).
The material is a high-quality Al alloy with an anodised surface that provides resistance to corrosion, chips and scratches.
Design features of the First Ascent BELAY:
- Extended areas in the most used areas increase the wear resistance of the carabiner during contact with equipment;
- has a wide opening and a large internal space that is well suited for placing a large amount of equipment;
- spetial wire latch helps to maintain the correct position of the carabiner and prevents transverse loading;
- keylock system makes it easy to work with the carabiner and does not catch on equipment or glove fingertips;
- Autolock automatic two-stroke clutch is easy to open/close with one hand;
- the H-shaped bar profile reduces the weight of the carabiner without sacrificing strength.
The knurled surface of the coupling provides a good grip on fingers or gloves.
