Carabiner First Ascent PEAR blue
First Ascent PEAR blue - a small compact pear-shaped carbine with an automatic safety catch. The colour is blue.
The pear-shaped shape ensures correct positioning of the equipment, loading it strictly along the main axis, and its asymmetry provides a wider opening of the latch, which allows the carbine to be used as a storage device.
It is used mainly with descending and belaying devices or for rappelling with the help of a Munter's knot (UIAA).
The material is a high-quality Al alloy with an anodised surface that provides resistance to corrosion, chips and scratches.
Design features of the First Ascent PEAR blue:
- Keylock system makes it easy to work with the carabiner and does not catch on equipment or glove fingertips;
- Autolock automatic two-stroke clutch is easy to open/close with one hand;
- The H-shaped bar profile reduces the weight of the carabiner without sacrificing strength.
The knurled surface of the coupling provides a good grip on fingers or gloves.
