Petzl Freino Z TRIACT-LOCK - specialised D-shaped carbine with TRIACT-LOCK automatic clutch and brake tab for use with fall arrest and descending devices.
The triple-acting automatic lock provides a secure locking action that eliminates the risk of accidental opening and significantly increases safety.
It can be used with Petzl I'S, I'D L, I'D EVAC and RIG (for industrial climbing) or Petzl STOP, SIMPLE (sport), as well as similar devices from other manufacturers.
The brake protrusion (spur) allows for increased friction and better control of the rope on the way down without the need for additional equipment or the need to open the carabiner.
The rope can be quickly re-routed through the brake tab and removed with one hand.
The latch on the protrusion prevents unauthorised rope slippage during operation and prevents the loss of descending and belaying devices during manipulation.
The convenient D-shape and Keylock system make it easy to use even when wearing gloves.
The Petzl Freino Z TRIACT-LOCK is used in sport and industrial mountaineering, caving, rescue operations, etc.
