The 21 mm diameter ball is specially designed for the Petzl Naja adjustable friction brake.
It allows you to easily pull the friction brake off the ground and quickly remove the anchor loop located at height. 

WARNING!  The fuse extraction ball for Naja cannot be used with the Eject friction brake.
