Ice axe Petzl Glacier

Petzl Glacier is a lightweight classic ice axe for glacier travel.
Thanks to its curved head, designed to fit comfortably in the hand, it provides excellent grip in the "piolet-canne" position - this is the basic technique of using an ice axe in mountaineering, when a person holds the tool by the head, and uses the handle (handle) as a cane or trekking pole, this is the main way to move when climbing or walking on relatively gentle snow and ice slopes (up to 30° - 40° steepness).
The ice axe has a basic strength class for mountaineering equipment Type 1 (or B - Basic), which means that the beak and handle are designed for standard tourist routes, glacier walking and non-steep snow slopes.
Its stainless steel spike and conical peak provide high-quality fixation in hard snow and ice.
