Petzl Paso^® Guide 7.7 mm is ultra-light rope for technical mountaineering and ice climbing
A thin and light half rope designed for intensive use in technical mountaineering and ice climbing.
The two ropes can be used separately or together, depending on the terrain or rope resistance control.
It has an excellent diameter to weight ratio, is very compact and takes up very little space in a rope bag.
Excellent water resistance makes it ideal for technical mountaineering and ice climbing.
The 48-strand construction makes the rope smooth, limiting rope drag and improving water repellency.
Increased flexibility makes it easier to unwind the rope, manage loops, and slacken belay devices.
Petzl Paso Guide 7.7 mm technologies:
- UIAA Guide Dry: water-repellent treatment keeps the rope dry day after day, in different conditions, it meets the requirements of the standard UIAA test (water absorption less than 2%), extends the rope's service life, and is PFAS-free;
- EverFlex treatment: special heat treatment stabilises the core of the strands and improves consistency, ensuring excellent grip and stable handling over time
- ClimbReady Coil: special coiling allows immediate use of the rope and helps the user avoid mistakes due to incorrect coiling and increases durability;
- UltraSonic Finish: the core and sheath are bonded together at the ends of the rope using the UltraSonic process, which ensures greater durability and helps to avoid fraying;
- Middle Mark: a special mark indicates the middle of the rope for easier handling.
The Petzl Paso Guide 7.7 mm is available in two colours (grey and orange) and in several lengths to suit the user's needs (50, 60, 70 m).
