Petzl Volta^® 9.2 mm is an ultra-lightweight multi-purpose rope for sport climbing and mountaineering
It can be used as a single, half and double rope.
It is designed to absorb high dynamic loads (arising from a fall with a fall factor of more than 1).
It has an excellent diameter-to-weight ratio, is very compact, and takes up little space in a rope bag.
The rope is extremely light and flexible and has a comprehensive water-repellent treatment for mountaineering.
Its excellent water resistance makes it ideal for technical mountaineering and ice climbing.
Increased flexibility makes it easier to unwind rope, manage loops, and slacken belay devices.
Petzl Volta 9.2 mm technologies:
- Duratec Dry: a water-repellent treatment for use in rocky, mixed, snowy or icy environments, it makes the rope more resistant to water, dirt and abrasion and provides good control, grip and other characteristics last longer in cold and wet conditions, it is PFAS-free;
- EverFlex treatment: a special heat treatment stabilises the core strands and improves consistency, ensuring superior grip and consistent handling over time
- ClimbReady Coil: a special coil allows for immediate use and helps the user avoid mistakes when coiling incorrectly and increases durability;
- UltraSonic Finish: the core and sheath are bonded together at the ends of the rope using the UltraSonic process, which ensures greater durability and helps to avoid fraying;
- Middle Mark: a special mark indicates the middle of the rope for easier handling.
The Petzl Volta 9.2 mm is available in two colors (gray and orange) and in several length options depending on the user's needs, from 30 meters for classic mountaineering to 100 meters for climbing multi-pitch rocks (30, 50, 60, 70, 80, 100 m).
