BCA Snow Study Kit provides five essential tools for snow safety.
It's a lightweight, compact case that contains all the tools Backcountry Access needs to study snow science.
The kit includes:
- a slope meter: an inclinometer that measures the angle of the slope from 0 to 50 degrees in 1-degree increments and has a quick stabilisation;
- polycarbonate map: a map for measuring snow crystals (the map has cells of 1, 2 and 3 mm in size, a table for determining the types of crystals);
- analogue thermometer: a special thermometer for measuring snow temperature;
- Magnifying glass: 6- or 15x magnifier (metal base and glass lens);
- ECT cord: a 2-metre cord for the extended test.
