The design of the "hemispherical" frame - 2 arcs intersecting at one point and an additional cantilever arc, which increases the volume of the sleeping room and the height of the vestibules, increases the wind flow of the tent.
Mirage 2 Alu is a complete analogue of the Terra Incognita Mirage 2 tent except for the frame material - it is made of Alu 7001-T6 alloy, and its segments have internal instead of external adapters.
Alloy Alu 7001-T6 is a light aluminum-magnesium alloy 7001 with T6 heat treatment to achieve the optimal combination of rigidity and flexibility.
The frame elements have a coloured hard-anodised surface for protection against scratches and corrosion, and retain their strength and spatial characteristics over time under adverse conditions.
Due to the frame material, the Mirage 2 Alu tent is 0.4 kg lighter than the Mirage 2, with the help of its smooth arcs, the tent is set up easier and faster.
The tent awning has a protective "skirt" that prevents dust, snow, drops of heavy rain from entering the bedroom, and large ventilation windows in the sleeping compartment.
In the vestibules of the tent, you can store part of the equipment and, if necessary, carefully cook food on the stove.
