Descender device Petzl I'D S black

Petzl I’D^® S black is a self-braking descender with "anti-panic" function for working at height.  The colour is black.
It is used for single rope descent, positioning on the rope during high-altitude work, evacuation of victims during rescue operations, organization of hoists and short rope ascents.
It has two possible descent modes:  on the side plate or in the V-shaped channel, a convenient handle allows you to control the descent speed.
The Auto-Lock Auto-Lock system allows you to easily fix your position at the workplace on the descent without using additional locks or knots - as soon as the user releases the handle, the rope is automatically locked in the device, while the automatic return system on the handle limits the risk of accidental snagging of the device.
The Petzl I'D S has two possible descent modes:  on the side plate or in the V-shaped channel, a convenient handle provides convenient descent control.
When the handle is in the locked position, the rope can be selected through the device - this is useful when creating pulleys and for short climbs.
The cam can be operated without using the handle for quick rope release when using climbing belay equipment.
"Anti-panic" function - if there is excessive and sudden load on the handle, the cam will jam the rope and the downward movement will stop.
The safety latch on the movable side plate prevents accidental rope unhooking and allows the device to be installed without disconnecting it from the carabiner.
The movable side plate can be locked with a screw, which makes the device ideal for use in a ready-made rescue or evacuation kit.
To improve descent control, depending on the weight and diameter of the rope, an open or closed auxiliary brake can be added.
The handle automatically switches to the storage position when the device is removed from the rope, which reduces the risk of accidental snagging when the descender is carried on a harness.
A wear-resistant steel plate on the side reinforces the device where the rope rubs the most.
