Descender device Petzl Rack
Petzl Rack is a variable friction rappelling device for long vertical descents.
The simple ‘toothless’ design ensures a longer service life for the ropes used.
It is a modification of the classic lattice type rappelling device with removable rungs.
The design and configuration of the rungs makes it easy to remove and install them on the rope.
The Petzl Rack adjusts the friction force depending on the weight of the rope and its condition, the weight of the user or load, etc.
The device is protected against heat from friction to protect the rope and does not kink the rope when descending.
The device can be used with static ropes:
- single ⌀ 9-13 mm,
- double ⌀ 8-11 mm.
The descent speed is controlled and stopped by simply pulling the free end of the rope by hand.
The service life of the device can be optimised by replacing the brake bars (Art. No. D11300, D11250 and D11200).
Features of the Petzl Rack:
- Weight, g: 470 (16.6 oz)
