Belay device Climbing Technology Alpine Up light green
Climbing Technology Alpine Up green - the most versatile belay device ever produced, designed for dynamic climbing on both climbing walls and rocks. The colour is green.
It was designed specifically for mountaineering and can be used with half, double and single ropes.
The Click Up + principle of operation is similar to tube-type belay devices - braking is carried out by clamping the rope between the belay device and the carabiner, without additional moving parts.
The device has a simple structure - two metal plates, an intricate slot, a pair of holes for modifying the belay, a small spring-loaded tongue and a lever handle for controlling the speed of the rope.
It has a wide range of capabilities, allows you to work with two ropes at once in several modes, and separately belay two climbing people at once.
Recommended ropes: double and half Ø 7.3 - 9.0 mm, single Ø 8.6 - 10.5 mm.
Alpine Up is extremely beneficial for climbing - it allows you to descend with self-blocking on the rope and can be used in three different belay modes depending on the conditions and terrain:
- Mode 1 Click Up Mode: when the carabiner is placed in a large slot, AlpineUp works as an auto-blocking device in the event of a breakdown, where the carabiner wedges one or two safety ropes in just two seconds. This belay method is recommended for climbing routes and multi-pitch routes, where the climbing speed and the possibility of breakdown are quite high and the majority of points are stationary;
- Mode 2 Dynamic Mode: if the carabiner is inserted into a small hole - the device works like a regular "glass", but due to the large distance between the carabiner and the places where the rope bends through the device body, the braking force is very small, which allows the belayer to easily hold the rope. This belay method is recommended for classic mountaineering ascents, where most of the belay points are installed by the participants of the belay.
- Mode 3 Guide Mode: this belay mode allows you to hang the Alpine Up to the station by the round hole of the body, and if necessary, quickly fix it, and also smoothly and easily unlock it using an additional loop or cord of the descending or ascending partner. The double slot of the device allows for separate and simultaneous fastening of two members of the ascending link;
- Mode 4: using the AlpineUp when descending allows you to easily fix yourself on the rope, and if necessary, also freely continue the descent, using the device as a lever. If necessary, the device easily switches from descent mode to ascent mode.
Climbing Technology Alpine Up is one of the most understandable and safest belay devices, even if the rope is threaded incorrectly!
The device is supplied and must be used together with a special HMS CONCEPT SGL HC carabiner with wear-resistant anodizing and the ACL system, which prevents the possibility of cross-loading on a minor axis.
It is not recommended to use Click Up + with other carabiners, this may affect the safe operation of the device and may lead to unpredictable results!
ATTENTION! Before use, carefully read the instructions for use.
