Materials
Polycolon schoeller
Polycolon schoeller is a polypropylene fiber from Schoeller, one of the best developers of technological materials and yarns for outdoor activities. Consists of hydrophobic polypropylene fibers, so it does not absorb moisture, but due to the capillary effect, it quickly removes it to the upper balls of the garment (socks), where it evaporates quickly. The fabric made of Polycolon fiber is the lightest and weighs 41% less than cotton. Polycolon fiber has low thermal conductivity and retains the heat of the foot. It dries quickly and is very easy to wash, even in ice-cold water. Sanitized antibacterial treatment creates a lifetime of protection against fungi and bacteria.
Nylon
Nylon, or polyamide, is the world's first synthetic fibre.
Its most outstanding feature is its exceptional strength, resistance to abrasion and water and, as a result, high durability, 10 times that of cotton and 20 times that of wool, and it is also stronger than polyester.
In the production of socks, nylon is usually blended with other materials to add strength and elasticity.
Lycra ®
It is very important for socks to be able to take the anatomical shape of any foot size, without forming folds that lead to chafing on the feet.
