Materials
Polyester Repreve - ECOFresh
The new Lorpen fibre used in the T2 models is produced by Unifi® and is made of 50% Sorbtek® polyester and 50% Repreve® polyester, both made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. This yarn wicks away moisture 3 times faster than its competitors thanks to Catch-Move-Release™ technology.
The fibre is soft, resistant to snagging, hydrophobic and quick drying.
Red-Cycled Nylon
Red-Cycled Nylon is a nylon yarn made from 100% nylon from fishing nets that have reached the end of their useful life in the fishing industry.
Instead of becoming a hazard at the bottom of the ocean or litter elsewhere, they are recycled into new nylon yarn.
This continuous fibre yarn is strong and shock-absorbing.
It is the fibre that is most resistant to wear and tear.
Lycra ®
It is very important for socks to be able to take the anatomical shape of the foot of any size, without the formation of folds that lead to chafing on the feet.
Lycra is the best elastane yarn on the market, the material of Lorpen socks contains up to 10% stretch nylon with lycra.
The elasticity of Lorpen socks is provided by stretch nylon, with an inner elastane layer and a nylon coating.
The percentage and quality of stretch nylon determines the high elasticity and durability of the new sock.
