Descender device Camp Giant black
Camp Giant black - a multifunctional descender with auxiliary lock and antipanic function. The colour is black.
Designed for professional professionals in industrial mountaineering, rescue work, rock climbing and mountaineering.
In addition to its main function as a trigger, it is also certified for use as a device to stop falling, as an insurance device for working with dynamic ropes and as a rescue and evacuation trigger and as a lift device.
This makes it the most versatile tool for working with ropes among analogues.
The patented mechanism provides reliable control and ease of control even at large (up to 250 kg) loads, for example, in situations where two people are required.
Used with single ropes with a diameter of 9.9 - 11 mm, has a simple, intuitive way of refueling.
The moving cheek makes it possible to remove/attach the device to the rope without removing it from the carbine, which prevents it from loss in the process of manipulation.
On the upper part of the body of the device is a special button, when pressed on which the cam is locked, so that with a sharp jerk, the eccentric does not work and allows you to quickly publish a rope, for example, when performing lower insurance.
The button at the top also allows you to stretch the rope in or without limited load situations.
The Giant is equipped with a panic reflex protection system that fixes the rope and stops the descent in case of excessive pressure on the lever.
Due to the movement of the rope in only one plane, the device practically does not "twist" the rope.The large ergonomic pen has several modes of operation:
- the extreme upper position - lock the device, when the employee reaches the necessary place for operation and he needs to protect himself from accidental pressing on the handle;
- the extreme lower position - the mode of insurance or lifting on the rope;
- Central position - descent mode in which the handle operates in a fairly large range, providing a very smooth and controlled descent.
The large size of the fastener of the device is able to accommodate two carbines.
The Camp Giant housing and lever are made of strong hot-rolled aluminum alloy, mechanical parts made of high -precision stainless steel.

MANUFACTURER
Camp
It was founded in 1889 in the north of Italy in the small village of Premana by the blacksmith Nicola Codega and initially specialized in the manufacture of forged products for everyday needs, in particular the production of bells for livestock. In 1920, the first ice axes under the brand name S.A.M.P. were made by order of the army, and after the start of cooperation with one of the leading climbers in Italy, Riccardo Cassen, he completely turned to the manufacture of sports equipment.
The most important characteristic of any climbing tool is the weight and weight reduction itself for maintaining all standards of strength, reliability, durability - one of the highlights of C.A.M.P. products Twenty years ago, C.A.M.P. set a carbine weight record - 33 grams, twenty years later in 2007, C.A.M.P. broke its record - a new The Nanowire carbine that appears weighs 28 grams! Currently, almost every section of the catalog has samples of record low weight.
C.A.M.P. also won respect as a brand of equipment for industrial needs: high-altitude work, rescue operations, the army and special services of many countries preferred a brand with a century of history.
Currently, C.A.M.P. is part of the CAMP Group, also combines the Cassin and CAMP Safety brands.
Now, at the beginning of the new millennium, C.A.M.P. is ruled by the fourth generation of the Codega family: Eddie, Paolo, Antonio, Giovanni, Isacco and Andrea. Like their predecessors, they do not change the company's strategy. Strategy of innovation, high quality and good brand name C.A.M.P..
